Karachi Water and Sewerage Board has divided the city's 18 Towns into three zones as part of steps taken for further improvement in the city's water and sewerage systems with each zone having a separate Water and Sewerage Chief Engineer while each Town will be under supervision of a Superintending Engineer.

Khalid Malik will be the Chief Engineer of Zone One, Asoodo Mal of Zone two and Mohammed Suleman Chandio of Zone three.

Khalid Malik will have Javed Shamim SEs Landhi Town, Syed Jamil Akhtar Korangi Town, Abdul Rahim Kathi Malir Town, Abdul Aziz Siddiqi Bin Qasim Town and Muslim Siddiqi Shah Faisal Town.

SEs working under Asoodo Mal will be Imran Asif of Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Amjad Habib of Jamshed Town, Qutbuddin Shaikh of Lyari Town, Shakil Qureshi of Liaquatabad Town, Faheem Akhtar Zaidi of Saddar Town and Saifuddin of Keamari Town.

Mohammed Suleman Chandio will have under him SEs Awais Malik of Orangi Town, Saleem Ahmed of Baldia Town, Syed Zahir Abbas of SITE Town, Aziz Channa of Gadap Town, Anwar Saeed of North Karachi Town, Mohammed Arif of North Nazimabad Town, Murli Rajpal of Gulberg Town.

The KWSB's Water Trunk Main has been given under the control of Chief Engineer Bulk which was earlier with Suleman Chandio.

Chief Engineer Gulzar Memon has been given the charge of Electrical and Mechanical Water and Sewerage.

Chief Engineer JBIC Mushtaq Memon is given the charge of Chief Engineer Mega Project Electrical and Mechanical besides having the charge of 35 MW Power Plant, desalination plant, Sewerage Treatment Plants and GRP Factory.

Meanwhile a committee has been setup for physical checking of water board employees with Deputy MD Human Resource Development Arshad Javed as its convenor. The members will include Lieutenant Colonel Ehteshamuddin (Retd) and Major Nawaz Gondal (Retd) while Director Admn Abdul Rauf will be Member/Secretary.
